MILANO, ITALY
The last time we were in Milan was for the Menswear Shows in June, and to be back in the slightly chillier month of September, we thought we would need to pack on the layers and prepare for brisk air. Little did we know the Italian sun had no plans for escaping, and I remember sweating right in the morning, waiting outside of Vivetta (where by the way we brushed shoulders with Valentina Ferragni & Caroline Daur!).
It felt kind of strange to rock this "Canadian Tuxedo" to Milan Fashion Week, the epitome of style and pizzazz, but actually, I quite enjoyed my look and more importantly, how I felt in this look.
When I was younger, I always imagined being in head-to-toe Gucci tailoring when attending Fashion Week, but growing up I now realize that the most important thing in life is to have fun and feel comfortable.

And who could have guessed that Milan would welcome us with warm weather and clear skies?
Apart from the beautiful weather, we also got to experience some serious #FASHION - runway shows, presentations, designer previews and a few cocktail parties. One of my favorites was the absolutely impressive Jimmy Choo installation which featured a million paper origami swans suspended from the ceiling in varying lengths.
Another major highlight of Milan Fashion Week is just walking down the Via Monte Napoleone - doing some shopping, taking some photos, and being people-watched. All the designers bring out their best for all the global editors, and its so awesome to be amongst the first few in the world to behold, touch, feel, and try on these creations.

But as I said, the most important thing for me during Fashion Week is to just have fun. Yes we are doing a job, reporting on the trends and documenting it for the masses, but there is no reason to get so worked up about it! So yes, I wore all denim to Milan Fashion Week, and I would do it again! What is your go-to comfortable outfit?
