Paris Fashion Week
The thing of movies, Paris Fashion Week is, arguably, the most important fashion event of the year. The best designers from the entire world put on runway shows and presentations, and host extravagant cocktail hours and after parties. And a few lucky industry insiders are in attendance, and of course, the number one questions, is what exactly to wear?!
PARIS, FRANCE
The most important thing with playing with trends – especially during Fashion Week – is to stay true to your own personal style.
In June, I saw a lot of the silky pyjama trend, thanks in part to Alessandro Michele of Gucci who sent full printed silk PJs down the runway in Milan, complete with bedroom ready Princetown loafers. The look is so comfortable and also so unexpected; its FASHION'S answer to Ugg Boots and Sweats.
In my own personal interpretation of this vibe, I mixed this silky PJ shirt with a linen pant that also gives ready-for-bed vibes but in a more comfortable, homey way. While I would totally rock an all silk pyjama set to a runway show, this was more appropriate to run from venue to coffee to shops.
SHOP THE LOOK
This Fashion Week was actually extra dope because on top of the regular fashion shows, luxury shopping and cafe hopping, we got to connect with one of my oldest friends from back home in Canada, who was also in town to attend the CHANEL Runway Show. There is something so special about meeting friends in new cities, and we have had the privilege of doing this a few times now. That day just flew by as we went from coffee to market to lunch to walking around to sight seeing to window shopping to goodbye!
The pyjama trend is actually really fun, but I remember wearing this shirt again in Canada and a lot of people (including my parents!) were just a little shocked! Do you guys have any rather shocking pieces? Share below!
