SCANDINAVIA
Ever since my very good friend in high school (Rachelle!) moved to Sweden to do her Bachelors, I have been very interested in visiting Scandinavia. Then, with my growing interest in Acne Studios, H&M and Ikea (haha), my desire to visit the birthplace of all things minimalist and chic only grew. So when my wife decided to make a Christmas Market tour with Norwegian Airlines, I was all in!
Fully knowing that it was the end of November, I definitely packed layers because of course, we wanted to walk around and take it all in. Also, the Christmas Markets are obviously outside so there was that. While the whole adventure was in fact very cold, overall I thoroughly enjoyed it!
oslo
This gorgeous city felt like a movie set - everything was so clean and so neat. The buildings in pristine condition and the general vibe in the city felt very content. Nobody was rushed or in a hurry, nobody seemed very stressed. Everyone was just living their life, almost as if in a storybook small town.
Of course, the city - as with all of Scandinavia - is fairly pricey AND they still have their own currency, no Euros accepted here! But we were prepared for this reality so it wasn't too much of a shock.

Finally being in Sweden was awesome! We actually ditched the minimalist design spaces and headed straight for Old Town which is on a small island where a grand palace sits. My wife did a full breakdown of this beautiful places, including the gorgeous Christmas Market there, which you can view here.
I definitely felt like this trip was way too fast (and also super cold!), and so we are looking forward to coming back in the warmer summer months, and also to check out Copenhagen in Denmark!
It is such a blessing to be here in central Europe, with the possibility to jet off to a new destination every week. Or in our case, multiple new destinations. My wife literally has a travel bug; as soon as we get home, she books another three trips! But not complaining about this at all. How do you guys book and plan for your travel?
