Its true that people’s “favorite things” change with their mood and the season; I noticed this pattern with myself, as the things I used (and cherished the most) this summer have completely been forgotten, and thus been replaced (for lack of a better word) with new, more interesting things. That being said, here is a short compilation of my Fall 08 Favorite Things:
- My wooden “Jesus” sandals; bought from a street vendor in downtown Georgetown (I seriously wear them to sleep)
- Eva; my Macbook (as anticipated, I spend more time with her then with real people)
- Lecture: all of them (Sociology, Archaeology, Anthropology and Psychology; I hate when class ends because I want to keep listening and taking notes. It’s really engaging my mind and causing me to think and question the world around me)
- My Ed Hardy trucker hat (can’t leave the house without this in my bag or on my head)
- “We Wish To Inform You…Families”; the novel that Arvind lent me in YYZ (any chance I get I pop it open and dive into Rwanda in 1994)
- Stacey (can’t ask for a better travel companion)
- University of Calgary water bottle (who cares about the cool new aluminum body; I bought it because it’s red)
- Tea; all kinds (a weird new infatuation I’ve developed)
