Its been a while since we’ve graced the Trans-Canada Highway and trekked over to the no-internet-no-cell-service terrain of north-eastern British Columbia. And despite the circumstances of our travel, it was refreshing to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Calgary, iPhones, day planners, schedules and home renovations. Sometimes I wish we lived in the middle of nowhere, with a sole purpose of baking pastries and interacting with the strangely eccentric locals.
