BERLIN, GERMANY
Probably unlike most guys, I never spent a lot of time thinking or planning or dreaming about my Bachelor Party. A few things were certain, though. I wanted to have a Jack & Jill party because frankly I have no desire for gambling, strippers or heavy consumption of alcohol (and no shade to those who are legitimately into that). I have the most fun when I am partying with my girlfriend anyway – she dances to all the songs, she holds my wallet in her clutch, and she is the perfect arm candy. Another thing I was certain of was that I wanted to have this party right before the wedding (like how it is meant to be) and in Berlin. Why Berlin? Because Berlin is cool, hip, young, funky fresh and known for its partying. Plus, it is only a three hour train or bus ride from Prague, where our wedding is taking place.
My sister came up with ‘something blue’ from the classic bridal outfit guide of “something old, something new” etc., and voila, we had our Something Blue in Berlin Event! Our closest friends from around the world flew into Berlin to first have drinks at Alexanderplatz (everyone wearing something/all blue), and then we partied literally until 5:00 am at Club Adagio. After we ensured all the party animals were safely tucked into their beds, we packed up and hailed a taxi for the train station. We had a 6:30 am train to catch, and the #KCFairyTale could officially begin!
