NAKUSP HOT SPRINGS, NOVEMBER 24 2012
As in previous years, November was an absolute blur of frenzy and activity in preparation and anticipation of the busiest month of the year: December. But this year, I was blessed to experience a completely different Christmas, one in the mountains – away from the internet, cell phone service and overbearing family parties. Eggnog, home-made cakes and pastries and nothing but endless winter beauty to marvel. The last weekend in November saw us make the eight hour trek through British Columbia and literally have an early Christmas, complete with a traditional German dinner, opening of presents and a midnight wine toast. Such trips should be mandatory every couple of months, but to experience it right before December was truly amazing. On a sidebar, you’ll notice a lack of “outfit”/style posts. Probably because I dress like garbage now.
