STEPHEN AVENUE IN CALGARY // 24.10.12
It feels like Autumn was just beginning to peek through and make its appearance before Winter came in with a spat and took over. I just dug out my trench coats and fall-hued shoes, and nope, not happening. Full winter gear please and thank you. I’m just a little bit disappointed, but have learn to accept this sort of thing from Calgary. Our Summer was way too nice and went on for far too long, so this abrupt and abrasive Winter was inevitable. I don’t mind, though, because all this means is that its time to layer even more, and more importantly, Christmas is almost here! Work functions, Secret Santa groups, greeting cards, holiday baking, the sights and sounds of Christmas everywhere, and then New Years! It really is the most wonderful time of the year, and since this year – for once – Christmas doesn’t mean finals at school, I fully intend on diving deep into the festive pool, and expecting wonderful things from Christmas. Is it too soon to be speaking of this? I don’t care. I love it.
