As with all of life’s other great accomplishments, it seems customary that I would be gifted with special items upon my convocation from the University. And gifted I was. Envelopes stuffed with cash and gift cards, from far and wide. Sentimental and inspirational gifts, along with sterling silver cufflinks from my favorite New York City jeweler. But more important than all that is the piece of paper with my name in-scripted upon it: my degree. This is my most prized gift from all those who supported me throughout the (sometimes trying) years at the University. For late night dinners, all-nighter study sessions, last minute cram sessions, the countless requests for both gas and parking money, for the encouragement and support, its all of you that I thank, because through all your concerted efforts, I was able to finish something that evolved into something so different then its original purpose. So thank you everyone, for the gifts, the texts and Twitter messages of congratulations, but most importantly, thank you for my degree. This would not have been possible without you. Much love.
