I’m not sure if its a good thing or a not-so-good thing, but no matter how busy/outrageous/out of control life seems to become, I tend to never lose sight of a well put together outfit. On the contrary, when things get especially hectic, I find myself yearning to outfit myself with a powerful, confident look – almost as if to remind myself that there are bigger (or smaller?) things in the world. On the other hand, I have realized how much more productive I can be when I legitamtely feel good about how I’m dressed. Don’t get me wrong; I’m all about the long study days at the library in a zip-up hoodie and Lululemon pants, but I personally would not be able to get anything done. Partially because I would be almost too comfortable, and partially because my girlfriend would seriously disapprove. According to her, sweats are never an appropriate option, unless of course they’re Neil Barrett drop-crotch runway sweats. Every rule has exceptions. Point of all this: despite the insanity I face this week, I am proud that I never find myself in a random last-minute outfit. And if it is random and last-minute, you’d never be able to tell.
