It may have hit the runway almost a month ago, but better late then never is the running slogan here at IYBC. And so without further adieu, I present to you Mr. Bailey’s rendition of the Burberry Prorsum Man for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 season:
a sleek gentleman who loves to invest in his outerwear,
plays with various shades & tones,
and entertains the idea of functionality in clothes.
Again, this is one show that I really wished I hadn’t missed in the Milanese circuit the past month – speaking from experience, the sheer enthusiasm and excitement at the Prorsum shows is so indescribable! But alas, back to the collection – the iconic trench was once again played with, be it cropped & fitted, long and structured or both, with the help of a handy waist-hugging zipper. And it seems that the military influence is here to stay, at least for the upcoming season. High boots lined with fur coupled with luxe sweaters and raw denim made for the perfect ensemble for the busy but fashionable man on the go. As usual, the show featured stunning clothes. Well done Mr. Bailey.
