We headed down to Amsterdam to check out the Dutch capital’s fashion district, dubbed P.C. Hooftstraat after the famous poet from Holland, Peter-Cornelis, who used to reside at the East Tower of Muiderslot in Muiden (see IYBC Discovers Europe #5). The fashionable head down here as often as they can to see whats hot at the present moment. Euro-FF called it “Holland’s Rodeo Drive”, and boy was it ever! Obviously, a limited-edition G-Star store began the street off. With over 150 shops to pop into, it was in our best interest to pop into a luxury Italian bakery, Tricolore, and indulge ourselves in some tricolore bruchetta sandwiches with the most decadent truffel-mayo, served on fresh olive bread.
After enjoying this delightful meal, we hit up the shops, and dude, I was blown away by the selection available. How incredibly lucky these Europeans are. I mean, its not any more affordable here, but it is easily accessible, which is half the battle with fashion, no?
