Seems like London was ages ago, but in reality, it was exactly a week ago to this day that I headed to Schipol Amsterdam Airport to catch my flight to London Gatwick, for the last day of London’s 25th Fashion Week. The whole thing came and went relatively quick actually. I had enough time to do a touch of sight-seeing on Tuesday, before getting ready for the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010 Runway Show at 6:30 pm, with the after-party held immediately afterwards. The following day, slightly hungover, but ready for a full day ahead, I headed to Burberry Global Headquarters for a quick meeting and an informal tour of the amazing facility (more photos to come), then to Bond Street to check out one of the many London fashion districts, and then Picadilly Circus for a little bit of UK shopping. And before I knew it, I was packed up, back on the Gatwick Express Train, headed to the airport, and back to Amsterdam. Tiring? A little bit yes. Overwhelming? Horribly. Amazing? Obviously. Its quiet a learning experience, discovering an entire large, bustling, busy city all by yourself. The currency may have been different but thank God that the language was still English! This definitely isn’t the last you’ll hear about London on IYBC, but for now, enjoy some photos before the runway review begins.
