I’m so excited that YouthScape gave me the opportunity to attend the Global Youth Assembly, being held this year in Edmonton, Canada. I’ll be here till Sunday, so expect sporadic updates during the week involving the GYA09, along with the typical IYBC blog musings. So what is the GYA?
The Ignite Change Now! Global Youth Assembly is an awesome social forum for youth (16-28) from Canada and around the world to move from awareness to action. Express yourself. Connect with like-minded youth, artists and global citizens from around the world. Make new friends and partnerships.
I’m really looking forward to it. We got into Edmonton last night at about 7:30 pm, checked into the Grant MacEwan Residences and then wandered through downtown looking for a quick bite. Had some grub via Ricki’s Grille and then headed back to discover I had checked into the wrong suite! Cool, had to repack and then unpack again. For some reason, I got absolutely no sleep last night, and it looks like today is going to be an extremely busy day – oh the joys of Conferences. I cant guarantee frequent updates (especially since the front desk ran out of internet cables and I came down at 6:20 am to use the free lobby WiFi), so if anything, follow me Twitter for on-the-go updates.
Aight kids, I got some emails to tend to.
(Have a safe flight/trip AK! Cant wait to hear all about it).
