The season is about reinvention –
redefining and re-modernising the core of what
Burberry stands for with our authentic British spirit and point of view.
BURBERRY CREATIVE DIRECTOR CHRISTOPHER BAILEY
Like I’ve always said, Mr. Bailey has definitely given the age-old House of Burberry a much-needed face lift. This season, he offers up the typical military style trench coats, along with some gorgeous a-line pea coats. And what would luxury ready-to-wear be without the little details, like the mother of pearl buttons used in some of the finer cardigans. Other luxe fabrics like merino silk and seersucker cashmere add to the overall warmth and luxury of this collection. I especially like the shift in the pant silhoutte, from the typical super-skinny we’ve seen all season to a slightly flared leg, which sits very nicely on the lace-ups. How quickly we sometimes forget about the classic, yet timeless, looks.
