PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Perhaps one of my fondest memories of the day I got married to Monika is our absolutely private, intimate and delicious brunch at Prague’s famous Cafe~Cafe. After we had just said our vows, gotten into our horse carriage and left Old Town Square, we met our bridal party outside of Cafe~Cafe. A few good shots wandering through the streets of Prague with them, and then they went on their way. A few more fun photos, and that was it! We did not want to spend our “best day ever” posing for a million shots (we pose for photographs for a living, after all!). So right in the middle of the day, when everyone else was doing their thing, we arrived back at Cafe~Cafe for our 2:30 pm reservation, fully dressed in our marriage ceremony clothes, and sat down to eat brunch. We ordered avocado toast and mini schnitzels, latte macchiatos and coffee, and truly enjoyed our meals, and each others’ company. I know a lot of people have attested to their wedding day running by them, with so much activity and circumstance, but for us, as I’ve said before, it was a beautiful slow-motion dream of good things. How often would I get to enjoy seeing my gorgeous wife in a wedding dress? And enjoy I truly did, from every which angle. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and then slowly walked back through Prague, just the two of us, to our central hotel. Absolutely splendid moments on our wedding day!
