Ten years ago, Monika and I officially began our dating, and as you know, we take our milestone celebrations very seriously around here. We commemorated our decade long romance in many difference ways, and discovering the secluded Northern Costa Mujeres in Mexico was definitely the cherry on top.
This resort just recently opened in this hidden gem within Mexico, and the level of thought, ingenuity, and sheer delight that has been put into the space shines through. For example, guests have an interactive hotel map that they can have on their phone so they're never lost, especially with the resort-wide WiFi. This also allows you to instantly see what activities and events are going on. And forget the tacky pool dancing - the experiences available include paddle-board yoga, spin classes, and much more.
My wife is obsessed with the ocean, so celebrating a ten year anniversary at the Majestic Elegance in Costa Mujeres felt like a no brainer. We were looking forward to a relaxed week with all the perks synonymous with an all inclusive.
What we didn't expect was the stunning design heavy spaces, the attentive butler service, the unlimited a-la-carte dining option that came standard with our Elegance Club booking, the spacious apartment style suites, the outdoor jacuzzis, and some of the best food we have ever eaten.
I mean, Monika and I have stayed at a handful of luxury beachfront properties, and our fair share of all inclusive resorts, but truly, this one takes the cake. The entire stay felt so custom curated, so tastefully done, with so many options and so much elegance. Truly, we have not stopped gushing about our stay at Majestic Elegance.
In terms of a la carte dining - between the exquisite French bistro, the rustic Italian restaurant, the authentic Mexican canteen, the cheekily McJestic for boozy late night eats, and tons more, Monika and I had our plates full (literally) with fine dining options.
The property features two well thought out buffets, one in the main building and one by the beach. Everyday, there is fresh and healthy food prepared for every tastebud. If you want to indulge in pancakes with ice cream and donuts on top, you got it. Feeling like an egg white omlette with a fresh green juice and a pile of exotic fruits - also entirely available and custom made to your liking.
The entire week was honestly so relaxed - we enjoyed time at the spa (yes there was also complimentary services part of our package). We lounged around in the endless cabanas - where there was never a shortage of supply. We dined a la carte every evening. We ran to the beach in the mornings. We worked out with complimentary yoga classes. We slept in. And we reminisced about the last ten year of our lives.
