There is so much to Thailand past the bustling city of Bangkok and the full-moon parties of Phuket, and one of these hidden gems in the middle of the country is the province of Trang. An amazing hub for island hopping, Chinese temples + dim sum, and the tell-tale Thai hospitality, we absolutely feel in love with this coastal area.

We flew in from Bangkok, and headed off to a speedboat with our luggage, where we reached out hotel, Andalay Beach Resort, which is located on a secluded island.
The beach-facing villas featured a stunning view, and the food we ate here was by far some of the very best we had on the whole island.

speedboats
in the morning
We had a super chill day at the resort on the day we checked in. The next morning, we were delighted to again be picked up right on the beach with our luggage for a day in the speedboat. We got to discover all the natural treasures located minutes away from the island where we were staying - Koh Libong.
Fresh fruit, the rocking motion of the boat, the sound of Monika going snorkelling, the Thai sun shining down; I could not ask for a more perfect moment.

soak it in
We headed to a National Park which was an island with the purest sandy beaches, and the most turquoise water. It was literally the perfect place to chill out and just spend time taking it all in.
chinese temple
buddhist vibes
We also had the chance to visit a traditional Chinese temple - very different from the ornate and royal-esque Thai Buddhist temples. The temple was so mythical but so welcoming and inclusive. This was definitely a beautiful highlight.
The beautiful area of Trang
will forever be in our memories
for its food, its people, and
its many natural wonders!
