I am so flattered that as my audience has grown, I have gotten more and more questions about the meaning of the word 'Endoxist'; why I have it as my name, and how exactly to pronounce it. So, I thought it was just about the right time to dive deep in and discuss this with you.

Sitting in a lecture during university, I learnt about 'Endoxa', a concept Aristotle talked about. It refers to the opinion of the entire population and has generally guided societal norms about how we should do certain things. Examples of modern day endoxa would include boys liking blue, eating dinner at 6:00 pm, and getting married before you are 30. They are generally accepted but unwritten rules of societies, that dictate our general life.
And it was in that moment that it hit me - wouldn't it be great to NOT have all these un-said societal rules? To wear what you want, act however you want, eat/drink when and how you see fit? Of course, there are certain rules set in place for a reason, but these general over-arching 'ideals' of how we should be are so rigid and binary. As a person, they are so restrictive to personality and as a creative person, I instantly wanted to become a champion for being your own person. Having your own opinion, your own voice, and living your own life preferences is the very essence of Endoxist. And it is that has thus guided my blog and resulting social channels.
My hope is that through my outfit + travel + lifestyle posts on here and across the internet, I can encourage any person - young or old - to let go of societal expectations and be their true selves. Forget Endoxa, and instead become an Endoxist - be the antithesis of what everyone thinks you should be. Be your own self, and love yourself fully through and through with no judgment.
