It seems truly unbelievable that for years ago, we got married in Prague. And three years ago, we visited for our first year anniversary. And now, to commemorate four years since our wedding, we returned to Europe's Fairytale City to celebrate our love.
For all prior trips, we choose to stay on the East end of Prague, closer to (or right in) Old Town Square. We have of course visited the other side, and are familiar with the 'Castle Precinct', but it was definitely delightfully different to actually stay here. On this side of the river lie a slew of luxury hotels, like the Four Seasons and the Aria.
Last year, for our three year anniversary, we visited Budapest in Hungary and had the opportunity to stay at the glamorous Aria Hotel Budapest. And after we experience that level of luxury and service, we knew we had to add the Aria Hotel in Prague (the original Aria hotel) to our list.
And so we planned on returning the following year to Prague and to the Aria for our four year wedding anniversary celebration. I think this was our fifth time in this magical city, but it was the first time we stayed West of the Vlata River.
The Aria Hotel in Prague is in the historic Mala Strana quarter in the middle of Prague. It was truly within walking distance of all the note worthy attractions, and for us, all the spots from our wedding celebrations that we wanted to visit. Of course, an October visit to Europe does not result in balmy weather, but we bundled up in scarves and donned comfortable walking shoes, and walked all the way to Old Town Square, for a spot of shopping at Pařížská Street, to Žofín Palace, and to where our surprise river cruise docked off.
As the Library Hotel Collections are famous for, the Aria Hotel in Prague offered a deluxe complimentary a la carte breakfast, and an evening canapé and wine hour. The hotel is music themed, and each room features an extensive library of listening soundtracks. There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace, and hotel guests have access to the UNESCO world heritage Vrtba Garden. I mean, these are the kind of royal gardens that Prague is famous for, so having complimentary access was truly special.
Thank you to the Aria Hotel Prague
for hosting us in your award-winning
property for our anniversary.
