THANKSGIVING DINNER 2011
Last year at this time, we gathered with our friends at a house that no longer holds the same occupants, celebrating a relationship that no longer exists, based on ties that have been broken. They say so much can change in a year, and they couldn’t be any more accurate. Sitting back on that dinner table last year, I thought I had dreams and aspirations and goals that I would surely meet, and looking back now, I don’t think one single one has been fulfilled. So this year, I’m most thankful for the ability to be flexible, to cope, to change, to be resilient in the face of roadblocks and hardships. And more importantly, I’m thankful for the very important people around me who can support the change, and help me back up when the newness of it all becomes crippling. What are you thankful for?
