PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Not to be confused with a wedding reception, our celebration on the evening of October 5, 2015 was truly a feast, followed by a Ball! The first course of charcuterie was served at the table, and the main course was all of our favourites: leg of duck, mini steak medallions, and butter chicken. Oh, and the crowd pleaser of the night was the Pumpkin Soup with Autumn Pear. Our guests took a visual journey through our lives starting in Germany, Pakistan, Canada and then our relationship and where we ended up in Czech Republic. Monika found a model from Bollywood who became a dressmaker in LA and wore one of her most decadent creations which (to me) perfectly melted Indian embellishment with our unique style of glamour.
Both of our parents spoke, the Maid of Honour and the Best Man gave their toasts, and giant bottles of champagne were empited over and over. Our late night snack was combined with the dessert course, and included a milk chocolate fountain, apple and rhubarb tart, Crème brûlée and various ice creams with peanut butter. My little brother DJ’d all of our favourite musics, and the dual projectors featured a live stream of #KCFairyTale images pulled from Instagram. One of the final surprises for Monika was a short film dedicated to the entire journey of the #KCFairyTale, which all started with the day I proposed, which she had no idea was being fully filmed. Along with all the guests, Monika got a chance to see her reactions when I got down on one knee and started this whole thing of. We ended the night with a sparkler send off outside of the Palace. The perfect end to literally the perfect day.
