Have you heard of Sitges? Most people haven't, and that's okay. A very good friend of ours from Berlin spent many of her childhood summers here and told us we absolutely have to visit if we get a chance. And since its about a 45 minute drive from Barcelona, we thought that the best time is now! So here we are, in the seaside town of Sitges in Spain. Today, I am sharing three reasons why this place should absolutely be on your must visit list!

winding tiny roads
We stayed at a quaint guest house converted into a hotel right in the centre of town, and right away the thing I noticed was the winding streets that were straight out of a movie. Utterly chic, impossibly cute, this was one of my favourite things about Sitges.

the beach
This famous town in Spain's Catalonia region is located just southwest of Barcelona and is backed by the mountainous Parc Natural del Garraf. It's known for its Mediterranean beaches and seafront promenade lined with grand mansions. We walked down the sea every night, but of course, being right on the beach was absolutely amazing, and one of the main reasons that Monika wanted to visit here.

fresh seafood dining
You can't have a beach town without fresh seafood! And we made sure we dined al fresco for every single meal. The laidback vibe here mixed with the sea views and with delicious local food served is just too much to handle. Absolute paradise - I could not stop taking photos and videos of these moments. Sitges is known for a vibrant nightlife scene, but for us, these giant plates of dinner left us ready for early nights in.
Yet another small town that has
completely stolen our hearts.
Can't wait to return to Sitges!
