Since Berlin is known for being very trendy, very young, and very hipster, I decided to up my street cred and dress my most hipster for our jaunt over to the ultra-chic area of Prenzlauer Berg. As most of you predicted, I am having no problem fitting in in this glorious city. And its true; you can more often hear English, Spanish or Turkish on the street then you can hear German. Which is a bit good and bad for me – I truly hoped that by moving to Germany, I would be able to work on my wife’s mother tongue. Well, good thing is that she insists on watching strictly German television in our studio, so at least its still constantly around me. Does anyone have any other suggestions for how I can accelerate my language-learning? Until then, Auf Wiedersehen!
