The above shot is probably one of my absolute favorites that I’ve yet to capture via my Rebel. I think it really summed up my whole emotion at that moment. I sat down at a quaint little cafe, just off Piccadilly Circus, after a tiring journey up and down Bond Street, having already had my tour at Burberry Global Headquarters, and already checked out of my hotel. I had all my purchases with me, and at that moment, felt so damn independent, and so proud of myself for being able to hold my own in a strange new city where I had only been back when I was one years old. London’s old world charm is breath-taking, and sipping on that cappuccino and puffing on my Marly, at that exact moment, I guess I can say I felt completely content with my life. I enjoyed this view from my seat, as I dined on a traditional English breakfast type meal (eggs, sausage, steak, ham, baked beans and toast).
Coming to London meant a lot of things for me. It showed (or shall I say shocked) a lot of people, including myself, that my humble little blog caught the attention of a huge fashion house, to the point where I was asked to give an honest runway review on one of the most anticipated shows of the season. It proved to me that I was able to literally chase after my dreams. It was my first ever “Fashion Industry” experience, and oh my, was it ever an experience I will never forget.
Though this may sound a little dry, I would like to sincerely express my deepest appreciation to the wonderful Public Relations Manager at Burberry in London, by far one of the most down to earth and dopest guys I’ve met, as well as to Christopher Bailey, for allowing me to experience this. I’ll never forget this, and Burberry will always have a special place in my heart.
Until Menswear!
