The royal house of Burberry hosted a huge after-party after their Spring/Summer 2010 Womenswear Runway Show, for the Burberry Prorsum collection. Creative Director Christopher Bailey and Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts sure know how to throw a bomb-ass party. With over 1500 people in attendance – everyone from celebrities, designers, models, press, and bloggers like me – it was definitely one of the most fashionable nights during London Fashion Week. Live music via British band The Kooks, as well as British model Agyness Deyn and British TV presenter Alexa Chung who were DJing some pretty sick beats yo. The whole night was pretty surreal, with the entire showroom (which I saw the next morning) was transformed into this amazing party venue. Giant video screens projected the catwalk looks, the Burberry check crawled up countless walls, and waiters in all black served endless amounts of champagne. Burberry also set up this dope blogging suite were guests could blog live from the event. I got to meet some amazing people and establish some awesome connections. Oh, and did I mention celebrities? To start off, I introduced myself to The Sartorialist, and since I was too shy with my little Rebel to ask to take a photo, I just took a sneaky picture of him and his girlfriend from behind them. Oh, and I didn’t know you weren’t allowed to take photos at the after-party! So I snapped away till security asked me to check in my camera. Hahaha, my bad. I rubbed backs with Emma Watson and I was a literally a meter away from Mary Kate Olsen, in her direct view. She walked right past me (harsh). Among others, Liv Tyler, Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Agyness Deyn, Alexa Chung, Anna Wintour, Mario Testino, Victoria Beckham & Maggie Cheung were also in attendance. Truly a wonderful end to London Fashion Week, and again, I can’t thank Burberry’s Public Relations department enough for extending this exclusive invitation to me.
Scott Schuman is pretty short hey?
