Who knew that I didn’t own a pair of professional looking black leather shoes? As soon as I read that requirement for work, I realized that the croc skin and the suede and the many other varieties just wouldn’t cut it for their “non-attention seeking footwear”. So, I ventured out to the mall in search of a pair of affordable, yet obviously stylish shoes. And guess what? I succeeded. Not only that, but when I showed these to my family later that night, everyone was so confused as to why I would wear these as “work shoes”? Because, I explained, I do have an image to carry out, no? And besides, although these gorgeous double monk-strapped beauties could have very well walked off the Gucci or Prada runway, therefore costing me an small fortune to buy, they didn’t. The look is definitely Milanese inspired, but I copped them from a surprising location. Hit the jump to see my shocking discovery:
