Last week, I had the pleasant surprise of once again entertaining Mrs. Euro-FF, who flew down from Amsterdam. Though her stay was relatively short this time around, my friends and I still tried our best to give her a wonderful time, and I’m pretty sure she enjoyed everything Canada had to offer. Her flight came in around 4:00 pm, and after a quick meal at my house, we met up with Miss Anjj & Gwen for some desserts and lattes. Situated in one of Calgary’s oldest communities, Inglewood, Nectar is Sandwiched between a clothing store and a furniture shop, and its red-door entrance can easily be missed if one isn’t looking for it. But looking we were, and we took the creaky stairs upstairs to a delightful setting of cozy couches and the smell of rich chocolate in the air. A few tables down from us, a group of locals were meeting for a Book Club meeting. How quaint. It was the perfect environment for some much needed conversations and laughs shared over coffee and delectable desserts. Miss Anjj got mint-chocolate-crack ice-cream, and within seconds, we were all safely hooked on the stuff!
