The year is 1999. The entire world is bracing themselves for the biggest disappointment of the century – the nonexistent effects of Y2K. I remember I was in Grade Six at the time, and we all felt the tension. But alas, this Memories Post has nothing to do with that. For those who went through the Calgary Catholic School Board, ya’ll will remember those pesky Agendas we had to carry around. Well, in the back of the 1999/2000 edition was this Time Capsule of sorts – pretty much a colorful question sheet, which my Grade Six teacher made the entire class fill out. And I’m glad she did. Somehow, between five house changes, four school changes, and a thousand life changes, I held unto this little folded piece of paper all these years, and I was actually looking forward to opening it on January 1, 2010. I had no idea what to expect, and I’m sure you’ll find this as enjoyable as I did, if not a tiny bit reminiscent of a more naive, innocent age. I kept the spelling and grammar the same as my 1999 hand would have written. Read the entire time capsule after the jump, and enjoy.

Well one thing hasn’t changed – my fitness goal for the next two years! Hahaha and I’m glad my fob ass learnt that a “pet peeve” isn’t a pet you’d one day like to have. And while this brings a smile to my face, I realize that out of all four “best friend”s listed, I don’t have any contact with any of them, particularly because one of them was killed in a brutal fight outside a then-popular nightclub. God rest his soul. See Part Two of this post coming very soon!
