Friday; wow this week ended quick. Its been a whirlwind in and of itself. Technically, this was my first week of classes, since I was in Banff all of last week, so regular things that I would have done last week, were completed this week, like tuition, text book shopping, etc. Plus SU Clubs Week was this week, so the table needed manning. I also had the (mis)fortune of finding out who that mysterious girl was who sat at MY desk and had the nerve and lack of decency to not only go through my things, but talk down to the relationship I hold with my mom. It was quiet a scene trying to deal with that. The weather definitely has not been helping with anything either – Stacey definitely needs a good scrub. On the upside, I did get a chance to catch up with Dad, considering this was the first week he was at home since he left the country almost a month ago. I finally made some time for Rye, and got to have a much needed chill/laugh/”study” session with Lexus, along with the weekly food binge with AK and Yzma. I do miss my best friend; he’s busy training for Olympic Security. I can only imagine what “Avalanche Training” entails. Anyway, the Fall/Winter 2009-10 Runway shows were DOPE, and I can’t wait to post highlights from my 3 favorite designers; Christopher Bailey, Marc Jacobs & Frida Giannini. On a different note, I can’t wait to rock my new TRs, which are finally back from the tailor.
Today, I’m rocking to Hip Hop Is Dead, and working in DT, which is a nice change from EMS HQ. Tonight, I’m looking forward to my meeting with YS Facilitator Jorge, plus movie night with mom; feels like I haven’t watched Devdas in a few years. I’m also excited for my work Christmas Party, at Wild Ginger, this coming Sunday. I’ve heard there’s no party like a party hosted by John Stiles himself. Oh right, and I already have a Law & Society assignment due on Tuesday.
My world may be going in a million directions, but I can safely say that these directions are positive, planned for, and worth it. The people who’ve stuck with me this whole time are key players in keeping my spirits up, but at the same time, keeping me level-headed. Oh, and Kanye, as usual, spoke to my soul today:
I feel the pressure, under more scrutiny,
And what I do? Act more stupidly..
Bought more jewelry, more Louis V,
My mamma couldn’t get through to me.

I’m still Your Biggest Competition.
Just thought I’d clarify.
