01. Milan, and then Paris Fashion Week
02. Over a thousand vacation photos
Who has time for an Update when there’s so much else to blog about? As Paris Fashion Week draws to a close, however, and my life also brings itself back into routine, I can finally catch up on some good old-fashioned blogging. Let’s see what’s been going on:
- Michael Jackson passed away. I was notified right as he was rushed to the hospital, via Diddy and Perez’s tweets. When CNN confirmed it, I was definitely saddened.
- Rye went on a fishing trip to Vancouver. Jealous!
- Klow gets to experience her first ever All-Inclusive, in Cuba, next week.
- My Best Friend is finally coming home, if only for a few days. And he turns 21 in three short days.
- The Rents are jet-setting to Zurich bright & early tomorrow morning. Second honeymoons are always so romantic, no?
- UNICEF on Campus is back in business for the summer, which only means one thing:
meetings!bar-b-ques!
Thus far, the Summer has been everything I’ve wanted it to, and it’s hard to believe that it’s already half finished. Random lunch & dinner dates with old friends are always good for the mind, body and spirit. And, as usual, Life has been a whirlwind of unexpected “lemons” being thrown my way, but the gf always says that when Life hands your lemons, sometimes you just gotta let them go. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. My vacation, though short, was absolutely everything I wanted and then some. I definitely got some unanticipated situations to deal with, but like my new BFF says, life is all about the experiences, both good and bad, which help us to grow. So if anything, I’m once again grateful for the people that surround my life, for without them, I would be a giant mess. Thanks for understanding, for apologizing, for forgiving, and for moving on. Where would I be without you guys? On another note, IYBC turned ONE on June 6, and I was so caught up in trip planning that I completely forgot. Wish me a Happy Birthday! It’s this strange Canada Day Long Weekend; smack in the middle of the week – makes me feel good about life for some reason. It just feels good that I have plans, that don’t interfere with my work schedule. Just when you thought Life couldn’t get any worse, it just gets way better.
Anyway, keep looking for Paris Fashion Week highlights and some more tit-bits from the Dominican.
Other than that, happy reading, and happy summer 2009!
