I have always maintained the stance that other so-called “fashion bloggers” are lucky because they came into the game knowing exactly what they wanted to showcase to the world, what they wanted to post about, and the type of web-fame they were after. As I’ve said many times, I only started this blog as an outlet for my thoughts and the things I was Googling on the daily. What really solidified the “style/fashion” aspect would be that famous email from Public Relations of Burberry in London – “would you be interested in attending our Prorsum show when you’re in London for Fashion Week?” Since then, and I guess building up to that, the blog became more and more style and fashion focused and less about my university courses, where I was partying and who I was hanging out with. Anyway, throughout all of that, I’ve always been not so proud of my blog posts from back in 2008 and 2009, when a Blackberry camera provided much of the selfies and Kanye’s blog (do you remember that?!) was most of my reblogging inspiration. Before the days of Twitter, of Instagram, Tumblr, Reddit, etc. But one of the things I wanted to accomplish this year was to streamline my Endoxist persona, and so that ultimately meant having all posts I’ve ever published being available on one web address; namely here. And now we come to the reason for my rambling – over the last few weeks of me updating/re-formatting each and every single post ever from Jurrdot / IYBC / Endoxist, I realized that I posted / did a lot of things I would never ever do again. There was definitely some not-so-proud moments on this blog, but I’ve come to appreciate them and their impact (and the impact of ensuing anonymous hate comments) to help to mold and shape both my online persona and my actual person. So the photo above, taken at Plush Lounge, cropped so randomly, featuring a Gucci pouch with lines in my head, dating back to 2008, is still the Endoxist, and I’m damn proud of it. So please, spend a few days clicking back to see the inevitable evolution of the Endoxist. I promise all of the comments and posts have not been edited one bit. I don’t believe in editing posts after they’ve been published because had I done that, I wouldn’t have been able to gain the retrospective I have now. Enough rambling!
