Nestled in the trendy neighbourhood
of NoMad in Manhattan, is a hidden gem.
That night, any bed would have been the best sleep ever. But walking into the inviting lobby and up to our suite on the fourth floor, all travel exhaustion instantly faded away as we stepped back to behold the Park South Hotel.
As you all probably know by now, our short jaunt of a trip from Toronto to New York City was anything but short (see full post here), and our 11:00 am arrival into the city actually became a 12:30 am arrival. So, exhausted but excited, we jumped into a yellow cab at LaGuardia airport and headed to the Park South Hotel, our home during New York Fashion Week.

The space itself has all the vibes of a boutique hotel - a cosy but glossy library, a communal sitting area with fresh lemon water on tap, a bustling restaurant flanking the back and a hundred little spots around the vicinity to feel zen and at home.
The design details are just the right amount of luxe and glamour with a touch of warmth. I felt right at home, and that is a wonderful feeling while traveling, right?

As you probably know by now, attending Fashion Week isn't all parties and shows and events. Its also a lot of planning and a ton of work (especially while you're there), so we were grateful for the comfort of all the spaces to lounge yet work and continue to be inspired in New York City!
We were booked into one of the Brownstone Executive King Suites, and in a city known for small spaces and tight living situations, this suite was an absolute dream! There was lots of closet and storage space, and more importantly a lot of sitting areas and spaces. From the bed, to the bench, to the couch, or the master chairs that flanked the king bed, the places to relax or work were endless.
Oh, and no hotel review is complete without a thorough discussion of the bathroom. Grey + white (my favourite!) with a rain shower plus tradition shower head plus giant square soaker tub, all in one? I was definitely in bathroom heaven!
And again, with all the horror stories and bad reviews of bathroom spaces in big cities like New York and Paris, walking into this was definitely both a sigh of relief and a jump of excitement.
One of the best parts of the hotel was definitely its location. Close to the Flatiron district and lots of authentic Pakistani restaurants, I had no complaints!
Our first time at New York Fashion Week was definitely made amazing and ultra comfortable thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff at Park South Hotel, and with its prime location and spacious suites, we didn't have to go very far to capture beautiful content. Definitely recommend this spot!
