Never before have I felt the realness of the photo I created above, more then now. Everyday, I rummage through my suits, choose a pair of dress shoes, a coordinating shirt and tie option, perhaps a tie clip and pocket square, a suitable belt and a refreshing fragrance, and I head over to sit at a desk for (usually) more then nine hours a day. Everyday from Monday to Friday, I get to live the sartorial, conventional menswear world. And everyday, all I want to do is rock a bright red lapel-less blazer with silk tribal pants and an over sized clutch. When creating the above image and blog background last year, as a full time student, I did’t realize the very real implications of my career choice, and how much I would be faced with it everyday. Most people, guys especially, wear clothes because they have to. But me, I study clothes. I analyze outfits. I deeply consider fits, colors, textures. So I ask myself everyday, what am I doing? …this wasn’t the point of this post. I just wanted to share that I’ve update the blog background to suit the wintery months that are soon approaching. Enjoy.
