If there’s one thing I miss the most about being in Germany, its the unconditional love and unstoppable food served by Oma on the daily. The photos above represents maybe 1/4 of the spreads orchestrated by this remarkable lady. That woman can cook like nobody’s business, and I kid you not when I attest to the deliciousness of it all. It wouldn’t matter how full we were, how much we protested, or how much we actually did eat; she was sure to feed us more and more, all the while showering us with gifts and presents and treats and special goodies. I have missed my grandparents for many years now, but I am so lucky to have found another grandmother who truly loves me as her own.
