"The most important thing is to cleanse and moisturise your face twice a day.” -- Tom Ford
Over the last few months, especially since I turned 30, I’ve begun to take major steps in my skincare regime to ensure that as I age, I am taking proper care of my face and skin. Admittedly, I had no idea that the ingrown hairs I sometimes get in my facial hair would be directly connected to skincare...
Honestly, I’ve struggled with painful ingrown hairs on my face stubble for years, and I naively had no idea that my skincare was so closely connected to those pesky hairs. I assumed that because of my thick coarse facial hair, it was inevitable for me to experience ingrown hairs. But because I’ve been on a mission to educate myself on skincare, I did some research and very quickly realized that it all has to do with my skin, and more importantly, how I take care of it.
So I’ve begun a journey to better skin and realized that for my type of skin and my type of hair, it was going to be a lot more then products and schedules that was going to help me - I needed some tools.
And so enter the sensation that is “Clarisonic”. Long known for providing a patented face cleansing solution, I have now learnt that I need something like this to really clean out my pores and ensure I am putting my best face forward.
I’ve been using the new Mia Smart device for almost a month now, and what a difference it has made! It’s a long and personal journey to good skin, that’s for sure, but for me, I know that I need that extra boost of cleansing power.
This is just one of the steps towards helping to calm down my ingrown hair situation. Do you have any other tips or advice?
