Ever since my first pair of Seven for All Mankind denim back in 2005, I’ve been collecting all the tags from my clothes. And I mean, from then till now, it’s most definitely been a few handfuls of labels, safely speaking. Anyway, last summer, I went out and bought a plain canvas board, and using the various ribbons I’d acquired via Louis Vuitton, Gucci & Giorgio Armani, along with some staples and thumbtacks, I made a sort of Brand Board. Well, in the beginning of this year, as I was fumbling to flick the light switch on after a long night out, I accidentally knocked down the entire board, bringing everything down with it. At the time, my life was way too busy to spend time re-creating that board, and mounting it to the wall again, so I threw all the labels into a bag and stored it away for the upcoming summer.
Well, this Summer is here, and the other day, I sat down and re-constructed my beloved Brand Board. I did get rid of a LOT of the repeat labels, because what’s the point of that, right? But I did create a conversation piece to hang on the wall right by my door.
