Today marks the official half-way point from last Christmas to next Christmas. To me, this also signifies the middle of the year. And considering B wanted to celebrate halfway to Christmas by devouring lebkuchen (German gingerbread) she had saved for us from last Christmas, I felt it appropriate to re-visit those exciting and daunting goals we had set for ourselves at the beginning of this year. I often (and I mean often) reference back to them to remind me of what I set out to accomplish this year, but today in particular, I went through every single goal, one by one, in each category, and ticked off what has been done, what is pending and what needs to begin. It allowed me to analyze where I was with them and also why I had set those goals in the first place. As I’ve often said, the setting and documenting of goals is something that I have discovered helps me to stay focused and keeps me on track. And besides, I don’t need much of an excuse for laying out and flipping through my Chanel notebook, my Christian Lacroix 2013 guide or my Louis Vuitton day planner.
