Although Prague is a close competitor, I think Dresden in Saxony is one of our absolute favourite cities in Europe. This city in East Germany completely took our breath away. You could look up, down, left or right and be stunned by the architecture in both its grandeur and its intricacy. Although I do have to say that in a relatively touristy town in Germany, there was definitely a lot of stares at the brown man in the pattern pants and leather sleeves! But in all seriousness, Dresden is absolutely beautiful and I definitely can not wait to return back to this picture perfect town.
