We thought about you everywhere we went;
everyone was dressed so well, all the time – you would love it there… MY MOM UPON HER ARRIVAL FROM ZURICH, SWITZERLAND.
My parents celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on December 18 2006. So for every 18th day of every month in 2006, they got each other presents. Beginning with January 18th 2006 and ending with the grand party on December 18th, they showed each other just how much in love they really are. The gifts ranged from new cellphones & gold jewelry, to new socks and a meal at McDonalds. Everything had significance, though. My parents first shared food when they were at McDonalds in Singapore back in 1981, it was pretty much their first “date”. Anyway, one of the gifts that my dad gave my mom was a promise; their second Honeymoon would be celebrated in Switzerland, a place where my parents had only briefly visited, once many years ago. My mom has been in love with it ever since, and was ecstatic with the news. However, immediately following 2006, a whole slew of changes with both of their jobs, and the rest of us kids, meant that their plan to Honeymoon once more would be put on hold, until this Summer. After waiting close to two and half years, they finally had the opportunity to jet-set to Europe and enjoy 12 long, work-and-children-free days. They went on romantic Italian dinners, cruise tours, and discovered the city together. Oh, and they shopped like you wouldn’t believe! They are such an inspiration to me, in so many ways.
Everyone takes the train, everywhere!
Oh, but they still wear heels with matching purses. Everywhere.
Jelmoli? Its like Holt Renfrew.
The “House of Brands”. We were there every single day.
…YES MY DAD ACTUALLY TALKS LIKE THIS =)
And since everyone in Europe wears designer suits,
everywhere, all the time,
we picked up a little something for you too;
THAT’S RIGHT KIDS. MOM/DAD BROUGHT ME BACK A FREAKING BOSS BY HUGO BOSS SUIT.
my time will come. soon enough, soon enough.
